NSS PROGRAMME -24: “WEEKLONG YOGA WORKSHOP”
(From 13th June to 21st June/2022)
Yoga postures, Pranayama and meditation are effective techniques to release stress. Meditation is relaxation and rejuvenates the body & mind. With this aim in mind, a “Weeklong Yoga Workshop” was organized by the NSS Unit & IQAC in Association with Department of Philosophy from 13th to 21st June/2022 (on the occasion of 8th “International Day Of YOGA” & “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohutsav”) for the teachers & students of Sissiborgaon College in the Indoor Stadium. The Yoga instructor, Mr. Pulen Das, took Yoga Sessions from 13th to 21st June,2022 with great dedication. All the participants, specially NSS Volunteers as well as students in different Department were participated with full interest, enthusiasms and eagerness.
The sessions began by seeking the blessings of the Almighty by chanting the gayatri Manta. Asana starting with warming up and stretching were followed by a series of Padmasanas, Sukhasan, Tadasana, Bhujang Asana & ending with Shavasana. Exercises for relieving stress, reducing joint paint & enhancing the flexibility of the back were also done for the benefits of the participants.
NSS Program Officer Mr. Pulin Kr. Gogoi motivated the participants and convays the importance of making Yoga an integral part of our daily life by extending the practice of yoga beyond the Mat.
The last session on the “8th International Yoga Day” Celebration concluded with an interactive session between the Instructor and the participants in Which the queries of the Teachers and students were addressed satisfactorily. The sessions were very refreshing, reviving and relaxing.
